I'm not going to explain the combination of various parts of my life that have kept me from you, but rest assured I am still here. My apologies to those of you who've contacted me and have had to wait so long for a response - please check your messages and, if I've missed you by some fluke, try me again. I'm around now.

New fic, you say? There is a stack of it on my desk, but it won't be ready for quite a while. I might not publish more fic for a few weeks, especially as I have exams shortly, but when I do it'll be published pretty regularly. I don't want to do you the disservice of leaving you without for long periods, especially in the middle of an arc, for example.

1.What brought you to LiveJournal/fandom?
Fandom brought me to LiveJournal. Unlike other fandoms I've been in, Who fandom seems to have a huge LiveJournal presence. I thought I'd join in the fun. As to what brought me to fandom, I peered in one day, fell and now I can't get out. ;)

2.What brought you to friend me? (I'm not objecting - actually I'm flattered as I see you've only friended a few people! I'm just curious :D)
Well, jadesfire2808 bio seemed rather rather friendly to people who wanted to friend her, so I thought I might as well. She had also left me a review on Teaspoon, which led me to her LJ. I've only friended a few people because I only joined yesterday. Also, I wasn't quite sure of the etiquette yet.

3.Who's your favourite author?
I don't have a favourite author. Some of my favourite books are The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank, North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell and Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials series, which might give you an idea of the sort of thing I like to read.

4.Do you have pets?
I did, but they're all dead now. At the moment, I'm not too sure about the ethics of keeping pets. I may keep pets in the future; I'll have to see how the issue resolves in my mind.

5.What's your favourite flavour ice-cream (and why ;))?
Chocolate: classic, creamy, captivating. Yes, I really like alliteration. I went to a chocolate restaurant last night and could have thrown up on the way home - probably should have taken it a little slower or something :P. I also like caramel, vanilla, spotty dog and strawberry. Incidently, I'm also famous for liking ice cream so much.

Well, now I feel unsure because I'm in the odd position of being new to a fandom. I've been observing Doctor Who fandom for a while now, but I just made the plunge eight days ago. My readers like my fan fiction (a lot - thank you everyone, you've been very nice with your feedback) but I actually don't know a soul in fandom.

I've never had quite this issue before; I always knew someone in fandom. I'd love to go into lengthy Whoish discussions and fic reccing and betaing and sharing of Doctor love. But with the Who fans, I haven't got a clue where to start.

For example, for betas. Do you just ask some writer you like to beta you?

I'm sure this issue will resolve itself, but, until then, I'm feeling a little lost in Who fandom.

I'm writing like mad, though. It's a good thing I've set a strict posting schedule.
